The principle of Weight Doctors® GLP-1 is based on the effect of state-of-the-art medication

Weight Doctors® GLP-1 does not require any medical intervention or even surgery with the aim of losing weight by restricting the size of the stomach. Rather, the core of Weight Doctors® GLP-1 is the administration of the latest generation of highly effective medication that works similar to appetite suppressants. These medical drugs make use of a natural metabolic effect and rebalance the genetically anchored factors that have prevented you from losing weight in the past.

The active ingredients used in our Weight Doctors® GLP-1, which is one of the most convincing and gentle products available today, have been clinically tested. It has been scientifically proven that medication can reduce hunger and significantly prolong the feeling of satiety.

We use natural and synthetic products and also rely on GLP1 medication, GLP-1 is an abbreviation for “glucagon-like peptide-1”. Such agents mimic the body’s own intestinal hormone GLP1 in its mode of action, which is produced and released by the body in the digestive tract when food is consumed – with the aim of effectively regulating blood glucose levels. These types of appetite suppressants also promote the production of natural insulin in the pancreas. Sugar can therefore be removed from the blood more quickly and absorbed by the body’s cells. The body’s persistent urge for more sugar is thus slowed down and the craving for more food in the brain is curbed. A medically prescribed and supervised therapy as part of Weight Doctors® GLP-1 can also reduce the notorious cravings in many cases extremely convincingly.

The basis of Weight Doctors® GLP-1 is the optimization of your own body function

Weight Doctors® GLP-1 based on medication therefore addresses 3 essential pillars for effective weight loss:

As a result, we achieve a reduction in blood sugar levels and a gradual reduction in body fat over time.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to say in advance whether and how quickly this will work for you as a patient. However, the study results to date are so convincing that with Weight Doctors® GLP-1 you also have a very good chance of rebalancing your metabolism with regard to your body weight. And thus receive the opportunity to change your lifestyle in the long term. Large-scale scientific research has shown that this approach has led to convincing weight loss results in more than 90% of participating patients.

In addition to a detailed initial consultation, in which we want to get to know you and your medical history as well as your personal attitudes and goals, a further component of Weight Doctors® GLP-1 is an informative discussion with one of our experienced specialists. We then build a treatment plan for you that is tailored to your needs.

Advantages of Weight Doctors®GLP-1

What makes the Weight Doctors®GLP-1 treatment concept so special when it comes to losing weight?

What is special about the Weight Doctors® GLP-1 treatment concept?

Unlike most treatment approaches, the mechanism of action of Weight Doctors® GLP-1 is based on modern medical drugs and does not require any medical intervention. This is a novelty in obesity medicine, based on decades of research by the leading scientists in this field. Weight Doctors® SCIENCE, our own experts for the assessment of scientific milestones and the further development of our medical product management, see this as a low-risk opportunity to offer an adequate and promising therapy option to many patients who are not or only partially eligible for other measures.

Weight Doctors® GLP-1 is a holistic weight loss program

However, the same applies to Weight Doctors® GLP-1 as to all other Weight Doctors stomach reduction measures: our modern appetite suppressing medication, which are modeled on the body’s natural hormones, and our medical healing skills alone cannot guarantee long-term success. Rather, they are powerful and extremely effective tools for achieving your personal weight loss goal with less effort, diligence and discipline than the conventional way. However, in order for you to benefit permanently from the weight loss achieved with our measures and to feel a higher level of physical and mental health in the long term, it will also be necessary with the approach of Weight Doctors® GLP-1 It may be necessary for you to use the duration of therapy with the Weight Doctors to make lasting changes to your eating and exercise habits.

That is why Weight Doctors also offer a holistic program as part of Weight Doctors® GLP-1, which will help you to further improve the effect of our medical remedies and make it much easier to control the success of your therapeutic measures.

What are the benefits of medication as part of Weight Doctors® GLP-1?

The latest generation of hormonally active medication have proven to be effective in long-term weight loss. They can help patients lose an average of 10 to 15 % of their body weight within a year by curbing hunger and making them feel fuller for longer. The medical approach contains a naturally occurring hormone called GLP-1, which is produced in the intestine. It regulates food cravings so that you feel full and satisfied without being hungry all the time.

Our treatment approach targets the receptors in the brain that control appetite and lowers the body’s “set point”, i.e. the weight the body is fighting for on a biological level. By taking our medically recommended products, you can reduce your weight in the long term and lead a healthier lifestyle.

Another benefit of taking hormone-altering medical drugs is that it gives you time and confidence to change your lifestyle. You will feel less hungry and have more control over your eating habits. You can change your diet and exercise regularly to further reduce your weight. With our treatment approach, you can therefore achieve your weight loss goal and lead a healthier lifestyle at the same time.

Exactly how the Weight Doctors® GLP-1 program works

Weight Doctors®GLP-1 and “gastric botox” – What you have to pay attention to

The obesity specialists at Weight Doctors are repeatedly asked by patients whether we would also offer something like “gastric botox”. Particularly abroad, where the approval standards for a high level of patient safety do not correspond to those in Germany or the EU, there seems to be a dubious offer for this. – But there are also a few providers in Germany who want to win over unsuspecting patients with “stomach botox” with supposedly cheap and tempting offers.

You need to know this: There is no approved therapy for the treatment of overweight or obesity with “stomach botox” or – better – the neurotoxin botulinum toxin A, as it should actually be called. In fact, some dubious practitioners have considered using the treatment concept for which botulinum toxin was actually developed, namely the targeted elimination of muscle stimuli, in the stomach as well – in the hope that this would reduce gastric activity and thus significantly slow down the digestive process in the stomach. This concept is very popular and highly effective in aesthetic medicine.

The main problem, however, is that the muscles in the stomach are much stronger than in the face, for example. Therefore, a significantly larger amount of the neurotoxin botulinum toxin A is required to trigger any effect at all in the stomach after injection during a gastroscopy. We are talking about concentrations that can quickly reach 6 to 8 times what is used in an average facial wrinkle treatment. If used in the wrong place in the stomach, this can lead to considerable complications – or, because the stomach is such a large organ, have no effect at all. The variance in the effect of “stomach botox” therefore fluctuates between dangerous and zero effect. Incidentally, science also shows that the desired effect is achieved far too rarely with the help of botulinum toxin A.

In addition, the effect of botulinum toxin A is temporary and only lasts for about 3 months. Remember: For each refresher to maintain the effect, you would have to undergo another gastroscopy – a procedure under sedation or general anesthesia – every quarter. For years to come! It is obvious that this effort and the associated risks, side effects and downtimes are disproportionate.

Finally, a sober look at the treatment costs compared to Weight Doctors® GLP-1 is also sufficient. If the therapy is designed for 6 months and both methods are compared with each other, treatment with Weight Doctors® GLP-1 is only about half as cost-intensive. We recommend a treatment with Weight Doctors® GLP-1 for 12 months, the costs are only around 25% compared to four gastroscopies with botulinum toxin A. This does not even take into account the fact that your patient comfort is significantly higher, the application much easier and the time required for treatment with Weight Doctors® GLP-1 is practically negligible. What are the treatment goals of our Weight Doctors® GLP-1 concept?

We are convinced that, in addition to the actual weight loss success from one of our measures, it is at least as important to be able to maintain the new weight achieved through significant weight loss in the long term. That’s why Weight Doctors have designed their new Weight Doctors® GLP-1 treatment concept holistically with a wide range of additional treatment and counseling services. Weight Doctors® GLP-1 is based on five key pillars:

Frequently asked questions about losing weight with
Weight Doctors®GLP-1

Our active medical ingredients are a type of appetite suppressant and mimic the hormone GLP-1, which is normally released in the intestine to create a feeling of satiety after a meal. The chemical structure of our medical drug has been modified so that it is a long-lasting form of GLP-1, which delays the digestion process and thus leads to longer satiety after a smaller amount of food. The appetite centers in the brain are specifically influenced, which reduces the desire for snacks and larger meals and overall fewer calories are consumed. Weight Doctors® GLP-1 therapy lowers the body’s “set point”, i.e. the biological weight that the body tries to maintain, by specifically influencing the receptors in the brain that control appetite. Overall, the effect of our GLP-1 medication means that you feel fuller more quickly, consume fewer calories and can therefore lose weight.

In principle, there is no lower limit for healthy people, which we would otherwise set for other measures of the Weight Doctors based on the Body Mass Index (BMI for short). Of course, Weight Doctors® GLP-1 is generally better recommended for people with a BMI of 25 or higher and for people with weight-related illnesses such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol or type 2 diabetes. However, it is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis and people who are allergic to our hormone-interfering appetite suppressants or any of the other ingredients in the medical remedy.

If you’re not sure whether you fall into one of these categories, you can take advantage of our free Weight Doctors® initial consultation in person, via video chat or by phone to get more information. The monthly price for Weight Doctors® GLP-1 starts at 249 euros and includes the initial consultation, specialist medical advice and ongoing support, the administration of one or more appetite suppressants and access to our Weight Doctors® app with digital scales and health tracker. After carefully taking your medical history and assessing your health situation, our specialists will make you an individual offer and draw up a suitable treatment plan for you. If you are not eligible for Weight Doctors® GLP-1, we will of course show you other ways in which you can reduce your weight.

In principle, Weight Doctors® GLP-1 medication used is well tolerated. This is because, as with all preparations, undesirable side effects can occur, which according to studies are observed in around 10% of patients. The most common side effects and risks are

  1. Nausea: A common side effect is nausea. This can be mild or severe and may occur in the first few weeks of treatment.
  2. Vomiting: Appetite suppressants can also cause vomiting, especially in the first few weeks of treatment.
  3. Diarrhea: Another common effect is diarrhea.
  4. Constipation: Constipation may also occur, especially if the preparation is not taken as prescribed.
  5. Abdominal pain: Some patients report abdominal pain or stomach cramps while taking our active ingredients.
  6. Loss of appetite: Our therapy can also lead to a loss of appetite, which can contribute to weight loss.
  7. Dizziness: Some people may experience dizziness or lightheadedness when taking hormonal appetite suppressants.
  8. Hypoglycemia: GLP-1 modifying appetite suppressants may increase the risk of low blood sugar, especially in people with diabetes who are taking insulin or other blood sugar lowering medications.
  9. Gallstones: In some cases, long-term use may increase the risk of gallstones.
  10. Pancreatitis: Although rare, the risk of pancreatitis (an inflammation of the pancreas) may also be increased.
  11. The possible increased risk of appetite suppressants that modify the hormone GLP-1 on the thyroid gland has not yet been proven. Investigations are ongoing and the Weight Doctors are constantly monitoring the research results.

Note: Many of these side effects are not caused by the product itself, but by secondary effects. Vomiting or diarrhea, for example, can lead to dehydration, which manifests itself as headaches or fatigue. It is important that you continue to drink sufficient fluids and eat regular, balanced meals while taking appetite suppressants.

It is also important that patients are aware that there may be other risks and side effects that are not included in this list. Before Weight Doctors® GLP-1 recommends that you take one of our medication, a two-stage consultation and education approach with our patient advisors and medical specialists is required.

If you are affected by any of the side effects mentioned above, the Weight Doctors are of course there for you. Give us a call, contact us via chat message or send us an email and we can advise you on the best course of action to relieve your symptoms or arrange a follow-up appointment with your treating specialist. We will then check your dosage again and, if necessary, adjust your treatment plan according to your descriptions.

However, if your side effects are acute or you have symptoms of a severe allergic reaction (such as swelling of the face, lips or throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing or a rapid heartbeat), we strongly advise you to seek immediate medical attention from your GP or the nearest emergency room.

If you accidentally forget to take a daily dose of your medication, you should take the dose as soon as possible, unless it is already time for your next dose. In this case, you should skip the missed dose and continue with the next dose as usual.

It is important to take our active ingredients regularly in order to achieve the best possible results. However, if you have missed a dose, you should not try to make up for the missed dose by taking a double dose.

If you are unsure what the right approach is in your case, please contact your Weight Doctors® representative. We are always happy to help.

The duration of the intake of our medication depends on your individual state of health and the recommendations of your Weight Doctors specialist. Some of our active ingredients are also used for the long-term treatment of type 2 diabetes and can be taken for years if necessary.

It is important that you keep in regular contact with the Weight Doctors and your treating specialist to discuss your progress and any side effects. We can then decide whether you should continue the treatment or whether a change in the dosage of the recommended active substance is necessary.

It is also important that you do not stop taking hormonally active appetite suppressants without consulting us. Sudden cessation of intake can lead to a rise in blood sugar levels and cause serious health problems.

Incidentally, clinical studies have shown that long-term use of our most commonly used active ingredients for up to 68 weeks is still effective and can lead to weight loss. For most people, however, the duration of action is shorter. The current guidelines advise against long-term use for weight control beyond 24 months. At the Weight Doctors, we therefore currently limit the intake to a period of 6-18 months.

As a general rule, if you have been using Weight Doctors® GLP-1 for more than 3 months at the prescribed therapeutic dose and have lost less than 5% of your body weight during this time, we recommend that you contact us. In this case, it is advisable to revise your treatment plan.

The effect of the latest generation of appetite suppressing medication we use as part of Weight Doctors® GLP-1 usually takes effect within a few weeks of starting treatment. However, the exact duration can vary from person to person and depends on various factors, such as the individual metabolic state, the dosage of the active ingredient used, diet and physical activity.

Clinical studies have shown that once-weekly injections of our modern medical drugs can lead to significant improvements in blood sugar levels and weight loss. The maximum effect is usually achieved after about 12 weeks. However, it is important to note that our therapeutic approach is not a miracle cure either and successful treatment also requires lifestyle changes, including a healthy diet and sufficient physical activity.

It is also important to note that this form of therapy, like any other medical treatment, can also have possible side effects. The most common side effects include nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. A specialist consultation with an experienced Weight Doctors specialist is therefore essential before starting therapy with Weight Doctors® GLP-1.

If you wish to discontinue therapy with our hormonally active substances, you should not do so abruptly, but should reduce the dosage gradually over a period of 4 to 5 weeks in consultation with your doctor. Sudden discontinuation of our preparations can lead to an increase in your blood sugar level, which can cause health complications.

Your Weight Doctors specialist will probably recommend that you gradually reduce the dosage of our active ingredients before stopping it altogether. This gives your body time to adapt to the reduced dose and prevents sudden fluctuations in blood sugar levels.

It is also important to discuss with your doctor how you can adjust your diet and lifestyle to continue to lead a healthy lifestyle and maintain your weight after you have completed your treatment with us.

We would like to emphasize that serious side effects of our preparations occur very rarely. Nevertheless, it is important that you know the signs and symptoms to look out for.

If you experience chest pain, circulatory problems (especially in the legs), shortness of breath or unconsciousness, we strongly recommend that you discontinue treatment and consult a doctor immediately. If the situation is not life-threatening, you can also call the emergency services or go to the nearest emergency room.

We would also advise you to seek medical help immediately if you experience signs of a severe allergic reaction (e.g. swelling of the face, lips or throat, difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing or palpitations). You can contact your family doctor or the nearest emergency room.

We want to ensure that you receive the best possible care during your treatment and that you receive the necessary support in the event of any undesirable side effects. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
