Explained in detail

Working at Weight Doctors®

Who we are, which positions are open and how to apply – chapter by chapter.

Weight Doctors® as an employer

Who we are

Our goal is to treat overweight – one of the biggest health problems worldwide – effectively. To this end, an interdisciplinary team of surgeons, doctors, advisers and nutrition scientists works together at Weight Doctors®, bringing more than 20 years of experience in medically supervised weight loss.

At our locations across Germany, we offer permanent and temporary stomach reductions, using the procedures that bariatric medicine has to offer today – from the gastric balloon to the Weight Doctors SLEEVE®. Our patients' well-being is at the centre; quality, honesty and authenticity are our working principles, and we rely on transparency, individual care and continuous innovation.

Our specialists are members of their professional societies and bring years of professional practice. For two decades we have been passing on our experience in obesity surgery, visceral surgery and gastroenterology within the team. This is supported by experienced anaesthetists, nurses, patient advisers and life coaches. Anyone who works with us gets to know our specialists and their way of working at close quarters.

Specialists (m/f/d) in gastroenterology and visceral surgery

We are looking, part-time or full-time, for one specialist each in internal medicine / gastroenterology and in general and visceral surgery with a focus on abdominal or obesity surgery. You treat patients with overweight and obesity with all procedures available today – endoscopically, for example with the Weight Doctors SLEEVE®, surgically with Weight Doctors BARIATRICS®.

You have conscientiously completed your specialist training and understand the connection between treatment strategy, implementation and outcome. Several years in specialist clinics or specialist practices have taught you to tell ambitious treatment goals from unrealistic expectations – and that humility can be a virtue in medicine. You take responsibility and independently carry out patient information, treatment concepts and surgical plans. Experience of working with those responsible for business management is an advantage, but not a must.

Consulting colleagues matters more to you than asserting your own opinion, even if some decisions are made from experience and instinct. You lead your team by example, pitch in, let others shine and stand up for your team in challenging situations. Your treatment results are your benchmark, your patients' satisfaction your standard – and with empathy you win their trust.
