If a medication comes into question in your therapy, your specialist provides the prescription digitally: as an e-prescription, without paper and without postage. In justified individual cases, a prescription on paper can also be issued.
The e-prescription service is part of the Weight Doctors® MEMBERSHIP and interlocks with the medical support – for example with Weight Doctors® GLP-1 pharmacotherapy. Together with video consultation and the Weight Doctors® App, the therapy is thus also possible via telemedicine, regardless of where you live.

With us, a prescription is never created automatically. It is always based on an independent medical decision in the individual case – after review of your medical history, progress and safety data. There is no entitlement to a particular prescription.
Even afterwards, the therapy remains in medical hands: in the monthly follow-up consultation, your specialist checks the active ingredient and dosage, evaluates your progress and – where medically appropriate – issues a new prescription. If drug therapy is not suitable for you, we will show you other options.

Where you redeem your prescription is up to you. The dispensing price is uniform nationwide.

What you pay
The e-prescription service is a benefit of the Weight Doctors® MEMBERSHIP and costs nothing extra. The medically prescribed medication itself is not included in the fee: you pay for it directly at the pharmacy. The exact costs depend on the dosage and pack size determined by the doctor.

How quickly do I receive my e-prescription?
Our aim is that your e-prescription is usually ready within 24 hours of the medical consultation – digitally and without postage. A prerequisite is approval by your specialist.
Where can I redeem the e-prescription?
At any pharmacy on site or online at a mail-order pharmacy. You receive a barcode that you show or scan there.
Do I automatically get a new prescription every month?
No. Every prescription is based on a medical decision in the individual case. In the monthly follow-up consultation, your specialist reviews progress and tolerability and prescribes only if it is medically appropriate.
Am I entitled to a particular medication?
No. Which medicine in which form of administration and dosage is suitable for you is decided by your specialist after medical review. There is no entitlement to a particular prescription.
Are the costs for the medication included?
No. The medication is not included in the Membership fee. You pay for it directly at the pharmacy, at the nationwide uniform dispensing price; the costs depend on dosage and pack size.
Is this also possible without an appointment on site?
Yes. The medical consultation is also possible by telephone or video. Together with the e-prescription and the Weight Doctors® App, the therapy can thus be supported via telemedicine.
Can I get a prescription on paper?
In justified individual cases, yes. The rule is the e-prescription.
